Mustang Creek Turf is proud to offer two hearty, and lush turf varieties:
Raleigh St. Augustine - Intended use: Residential and Commercial
Tifway 419 Bermuda - Intended use: Residential, Commercial, Golf and Sport
Raleigh St. Augustine (Stenotaphrum secundatum) was developed by the North Carolina Experiment Station in 1980 as a cold tolerant, S.A.D. (St. Augustine Decline) resistant strain. Raleigh St. Augustine is a highly popular turf variety that produces a beautifully, thick lawn with its wide-coarse leaf blades(9-10mm) and a lush green color. Raleigh is currently the highest-ranking cold tolerant, S.A.D-free St. Augustine grass grown commercially available in Texas.
Tifway 419 Bermuda Tifway 419 is a hybrid bermuda grass (cross of Cynodon dactylon x C. transvaalensis germplasma). It features finely textured blades that spread rapidly and offer a dense landscape cover. Its density, fine texture and soft blades provide a soft cushion in which to walk and play. Tiff 419 Bermuda is recommended for residential and commercial landscapes, and is ideal for high traffic areas and sport field turf, including athletic fields, golf course fairways and tee boxes.
